About Us
The Society for the Advancement of Information Systems welcomes all faculty and practitioners interested in the application of computer technologies to business problems. Specific areas of interest to SAIS members include e-commerce, artificial intelligence, groupware, strategic use of technology, client server, virtual reality, object oriented analysis, design and programming, and a variety of ethical and pedagogical issues.
The society's annual conference is held each March in Chicago at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel, to coincide with the annual MBAA International conference.
SAIS Conference activities include:
- Participation of both Information Systems and Quantitative Methods researchers.
- Double blind refereed papers are presented and published in the conference proceedings.
- One paper is selected each year as the winner of the annual Distinguished Paper award.
